Doug set up this museum in the town garage years ago and has maintained it ever since. Walking up the musky
stairwell leads one to wonder what could possibly lie ahead. At the top it is a marvel. In this tiny white
building hidden amongst the Hyner mountains on an off-road is an amazingly well maintained, organized and
labelled collection of fossils documenting the fern-like plants and emergence of animal life from the oceans of 360 million
years ago onto land for the first time.
